On this edition of the Explore More Travel Sundowner Sessions we chat to Eleanor Muller from Transfrontier Parks Destinations about the Limpopo Safari & Culture Route and wow, did we learn alot about what makes Limpopo an incredible region to include in your next Southern African adventure!
The Limpopo Safari & Culture route starts in the ancient cycad forest near Modjadji Camp before moving into the Art Route of Limpopo where you can experience the Tsonga and Venda art culture. As you wind your way through the Kudus RIver Valley toward Nahakwe Lodge you have the opportunity to visit farmstalls in Magoebaskloof, try the organic cheese from the area or go ziplining in the kloof. The Ribola Art experience gives guests the opportunity to create their own paintings or traditional pots under the watchful eye of a local master crafter. Visit the Fundudzi Lake where you get to stay in traditional rondawel accommodation before heading to Awelani Lodge which borders the northern Kruger National Park. The route then haves you visit the Baleni area where you will learn more about the local traditional salt harvesting process before ending in the Mtomeni Big 5 Reserve near Phalaborwa.
